Shoutouts App is the platform for practicing compassion for yourself and others.
Utilizing a variety of self-compassion prompts (scientifically showcased to reduce stress & buffer against the negative consequences of stress), Shoutouts App contains a variety of prompts to encourage re-training self-criticism into understanding and compassion. These prompts will be shown as soon as you login to the app, and your responses will be re-shared with you between three days and seven days after you respond. Many of these prompts involving thinking about the future, so Shoutouts App gives you a glimpse into your past responses into the future as well. All prior responses can be viewed in the Past Shoutouts page.
Another key feature of Shoutouts App is spreading kindness with others. Whether it be a group of friends, your summer camp besties, or work colleagues, the Communities feature of Shoutouts App allows for you to highlight the hard-work & highlights of others by allowing you to share positive messages within your own chosen community. Research into the science of stress also supports that helping others is also correlated with buffering against stress and its side-effects.
